Celebrating 75 Years
Our roots date all the way back to August 1, 1939. In 2014 we celebrated our 75th Anniversary with a cookbook, a special banquet, and a visit from the science lab!
The Farmers & Friends Cookbook
The Women's Auxiliary of the Co-Op Farmer's Market published a cookbook in honor of our 75th Anniversary called " Farmers & Friends". The cookbook was filled with all kinds of delicious recipes from our market members & vendors, along side our customers' favorite recipes. We would like to thank everyone that purchased a cookbook from the Farmer's Market of which proceeds benefited the Women's Resource Center, Scranton, PA.
75th Anniversary Banquet
To kick off the festivities, we held our 75th Anniversary Banquet on July 12, 2014. Membership acknowledgments for "continued years of service" were given out. Membership/Vendors, Special Guest & Dignitaries were present.
PA Farm Bureau Mobile Science Lab
To help celebrate our 75th anniversary, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Mobile Science Lab visited our Farmers Market in August 2014 to promote student awareness on nutrition & where produce & fruits come from.
