Cooking Demonstration – Summer Cucumber Salad
JULY 20, 2018 – Join Chef Mark Seibert from the Kiesendahl School of Hospitality at Lackawanna College for a Summer Cucumber Salad Cooking Demonstration from 11am to 2pm on Friday, July 20th.

WEDNESDAYS – JULY 18 through AUG 3, 2018 – Meet with library staff to learn information about the library, branch locations, and events; sign up for library cards; and find out what else you can borrow besides books each Wednesday from 12-3pm, weather permitting.
Meet Master Gardeners from Penn State Extension Lackawanna County
MONDAYS – AUGUST, 2018 – Meet with master gardeners to learn about research-based information on best practices in sustainable horticulture and environmental stewardship each Monday in August from 11:30-3pm, weather permitting.
Weekly – Visiting Nurses
WEDNESDAYS 2018 – The Visiting Nurses will be at the Farmers Market every Wednesday from Noon to 3:00. Nurses will be available to hand out informational material, perform blood pressure checks, answer questions, and provide flu shots.
Bi-Weekly – Voluntary Action Center
EVERY THIRD FRIDAY 2018 – Visit counselors from the Voluntary Action Center every first and third Friday of each month from 1-3pm. APPRISE is a free health insurance counseling program designed to help all Pennsylvanians with Medicare.
Weekly – State Representative Marty Flynn
FRIDAYS 2018 – A representative from State Representative Marty Flynn’s offices will be at the market every Friday from noon to 3 pm through the year to listen to your concerns, provide information, and answer questions.
Weekly Flu Shots in October
OCTOBER 2018 – The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Hospice and Home Health of Lackawanna County will offer the flu vaccine to visitors 18yrs + every Wednesday in October from 12pm to 3pm. For more information about cost and insurance, please call 570-383-5180.
Annual Halloween Parade
OCTOBER 2018 – Join us this Halloween – October 31, 2018 – for our Annual Halloween Parade, line up at 4:30 pm, rain or shine. Parade begins at 5:00 pm. Gifts for the winning categories: Funniest, Most Original, Ugliest & Prettiest. Fun for all, something for everyone! Rain or Shine! See you there!
